What are the ways of rubber molding?

Compression Molding Press is the process involving various rubber materials using molds to mold rubber into various shapes, there are several methods of rubber molding including:

  1. Injection molding: In this process, rubber is heated to a molten state and then injected into the mold cavity under high pressure. According to the temperature, molding time and pressure of the product, this can produce a precise and uniform product with high dimensional accuracy.
  2. Compression molding: This process involves placing preformed rubber material into a heated mold and compressing it with a rubber oil press. The rubber material takes the shape of the mold, and once the rubber cools and solidifies, it forms the final product. They also need to set the molding time, temperature and pressure according to the performance of the product.
  3. Transfer molding: In this process, the rubber is preheated in a cavity and then transferred under pressure into the mold cavity. This method is suitable for producing complex shapes and allows for shorter cycle times compared to compression molding.
  4. Liquid injection molding: In this process, liquid silicone rubber is injected into the mold cavity and then cured under heat. This method is ideal for producing complex shapes and thin-walled parts with high precision.
  5. Extrusion molding: In this process, raw rubber is fed into an extruder, which shapes it into a continuous form. The extruded rubber is then cut to the desired length and shape. This method is commonly used in the production of rubber tubes, hoses and seals.

The choice of rubber molding method depends on various factors such as the type of rubber material, the complexity of the part, the precision required and the production volume.
